Henry Brummel - The first 5 decades, success, satisfaction, and many loyal customers, long may it continue ....
Henry Brummel started selling quality fashion back in 1963, when Levi Shrink to Fit Jeans were the hottest must have item. The demand was so great we had to go and pick them up in our VW Camper from Levi's first UK premises, a disused brewery in London. Ben Sherman shirts, Crombies with 15p pocket cardboard hankies in football club colours, Levi Staprest and Two Tone Tonic were also flying out from our first store in the Black Country .
In the 70's along came multi- button pocket oxford bags, tight waisted sweaters, ala northern soul, Gabbicci, suede trim knits, Farah hopsack flares, Jaytex, and Brutus by the carton load.
.By the 80's our customers were asking for the expensive gear, So Henry & his son Simon, started sourcing supplies of the upmarket casual fashions from Italy. Sergio Tacchini tracksuits, Fila BJ knits, Cerruti 1881, Jimmy Connors polo shirts, L'Alpina Australian detachable sleeve jackets, matched up with Lois cords and Diadora Borg Trainers
80's success fuelled 90's investment, with new freehold premises in Driotwich Spa. The 90's saw Brummel stocking top lifestyle collections from Lacoste , Burberry, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Aquascutum and Paul & Shark. Our clients were travelling to us from all over the country, thanks to our ideal location, near the M5 and M42.
The start of the new millenium has brought a more diverse range of fashion, with Brummel's putting together a fantastic range of premium niche clothing , along with the reapperance of a few old favourites, all of which can now be purchased online or by a visit to our Droitwich Spa store, were we will be delighted to share with you our ideas, knowledge, and provide you with some quality service.
